Welcome to Chapter 26- Be Your Own Valentine First
Before we dive into this post, I just want to wish each and every one of you a Happy Valentine’s Day ❤️
Whether you’re spending it with someone you love or enjoying your own company, take today as a reminder to not only show love to others — but to love on yourself too
Valentine’s Day isn’t just about couples, flowers, or who posted who.
It’s about love. Real love. The kind that starts within.
Before you wait for someone to choose you — choose yourself.
Before you look for someone to value you — value who you are.
Before you expect love from the world — give it to yourself first.
Buy yourself the gift.
Take yourself out.
Speak kindly to yourself.
Forgive yourself.
Celebrate your growth.
Confidence looks good on everyone.
Peace looks good on everyone.
Self-respect looks good on everyone.
And nothing is more attractive than a person — man or woman — who knows their worth.
But don’t stop there.
Love isn’t something we’re meant to keep to ourselves. It’s something we’re meant to pass on.
Smile at your neighbour.
Hold the door.
Send that message.
Check in on someone who’s been quiet.
Be patient with someone who looks like they’re carrying more than they’re saying.
Some people have been blessed to grow up surrounded by love.
Some have experienced deep, unconditional love.
And some have never really had the chance.
You don’t know who hasn’t heard “I’m proud of you.”
You don’t know who hasn’t felt chosen.
You don’t know who is longing to feel seen.
So be bold with your love.
Love yourself confidently.
Love others generously.
Love strangers kindly.
This world doesn’t have too much love — it has too many people afraid to show it.
So whether you’re single, married, dating, healing, or somewhere in between — let today be about more than romance.
Let it be about respect.
Let it be about compassion.
Let it be about showing up with heart.
You are worthy of love.
And you are capable of giving it.
Don’t wait for the world to become softer.
Be the softness.
Be the strength.
Be the love.
Let me leave this with you: Love requires action, such as serving others and giving, rather than just words.
Love Shana xx
