Welcome to day 15 of choosing me -Lessons, Blessings, and the Beauty of the Process
So happy you’re here, get comfy and let us enjoy this chapter together.
Every mistake, every failure, every misstep carries two things with it: a lesson and a blessing. They always come together. Just like when rain comes, flowers appear.
We have to stop seeing mistakes and failures as curses. How do we expect to master something without learning first? A baby crawls before they walk and falls many times before they master putting one foot in front of the other. Falling is part of learning. We are all new to something at some point, and there is always a process.
The lesson learned and the blessing that follows those mistakes are sweet—but only if we’re willing to see them that way. The road to success isn’t easy. It’s hard. And when we make a plan in our minds, I think we should factor failure into it. So when something doesn’t go the way we planned, we understand it was still part of the plan.
Failure is the key. Making mistakes is the key. Someone once told me when you fail big, you won’t fail at that thing again—because the lesson sticks.

Let’s try our best not to let the process hold us back. Let’s learn to see the beauty in the restoration.
The road isn’t easy—it’s hard. It’s blood, sweat, and tears. But it’s not impossible.
I used to ask God why I kept ending up in the same place. Why nothing seemed to change. Then I realised I wasn’t stuck—I just hadn’t mastered the lesson yet. You can’t graduate from what you’re still learning. Sometimes the delay isn’t punishment, it’s preparation. The lesson repeats until we’re willing to truly learn it, apply it, and grow from it.
And if we’re honest with ourselves, we have to ask the hard questions. Are we doing enough? Are we really trying hard enough? Are we changing our mindset—or are we still attached to who we used to be?
When we realise things aren’t changing in our lives, it’s usually because we haven’t changed yet. Growth requires change. So what is your version of rock bottom? And are you willing to let go of the things that are holding you back?
So many of us search externally for answers—for direction, validation, or purpose—but it’s not out there. The real search is internal. I truly believe that when God created us, He equipped us with what we needed. We were given a gift.
Ask yourself this: What is the thing you do best with the least amount of effort?
For me, it’s helping people. It comes naturally. Talking to strangers, listening, wanting to help—it’s just who I am. For a long time, I didn’t see that as a gift. But not everyone has the patience, the heart, or the desire to do that.
Then I asked myself, How can I use my gift?
And here it is—this blog.
I never thought writing, inspiring, or encouraging would be my path, but I find so much joy in it. And now I understand—the mistakes, the failures, the waiting—they weren’t wasted. They were shaping me for this. I’m not where I want to be yet, not even close—but this is just the start of my journey. I’m still unfolding, still learning more truths and lessons, all preparing me to fully accomplish the dream God placed in my heart.
So now I’ll ask you: what is your gift, or what do you think your gift might be? Gifts aren’t always easy to recognise because they feel so natural to us—but what’s natural to you may not be natural to someone else. We are all gifted. These gifts I believe are meant to be shared with the world. I believe God planted them in us so we could serve one another here on earth.
Let me leave you with this: if you quit, there’s a guarantee—your dream will never happen. The only way possibility remains is if you don’t give up. Keep trying. Keep pushing. Keep praying. It will happen.
Love Shana xx
