Day 3: Trust
Scary thought: the reason we don’t move forward isn’t fear of failing… it’s fear of trusting ourselves.
And honestly? I get it. Trusting yourself is hard. It’s scary. Because deep down, we all have ideas, dreams, instincts, and little nudges telling us what to do… but sometimes we just don’t have enough self-belief to take the leap. And that’s okay — it doesn’t mean we’re weak. It means we’re human.
This chapter is about becoming self-led. About actually living my one life the way I want to, instead of quietly letting other people call the shots. Because when you really think about it… why are we trusting everyone else with our lives, except the one person who actually has to live it?
It’s about making choices — small ones, everyday ones — and standing in them. Not overthinking every little decision. Not waiting for life to give me permission. Just trusting that what feels right to me… is right for me.

And let’s talk about plans for a second. Because plans love to fall apart. And honestly? That’s not a bad thing. Sometimes we plan, and life takes us in a completely different direction — and that detour ends up being the thing that changes everything. Have you ever noticed that some of your best lessons came from the plan not working out?
Mistakes aren’t proof you’re doing it wrong. They’re proof you’re trying.
If you’re not failing sometimes, you’re probably not taking risks. And if you’re not taking risks, are you really living… or just playing it safe?
So here’s a question for you:
What would you do differently if you trusted yourself just a little more?
What choice have you been sitting on because you’re scared of getting it wrong?
This chapter is about accepting mistakes, learning from them, and carrying on anyway. About understanding that messing up doesn’t disqualify you — it shapes you.
Truth bomb: the only person standing between you and your life… is you.
So maybe it’s time to stop asking permission.
Maybe it’s time to give yourself some grace… and a little nudge.
Maybe it’s time to trust that your ideas, your instincts, and yes — even the plans that don’t make sense yet — are enough to start.
Let me leave. this with you : Trust is built on the belief in God’s consistent goodness, faithfulness, and righteousness, even if immediate circumstances seem bad. YOU GOT THIS !
love Shana xx
Hey Shana 🤍 I really felt this one. Trust is something I’m still learning, especially trusting myself and not overthinking every step. What you said about plans not working out really hit home some of my biggest lessons came from things going a completely different way than I expected. This blog reminded me that mistakes don’t mean I’m failing, just growing. Thank you for writing this💫
