Day 4: Motivation vs Discipline
Motivation is cute… but it’s unreliable.
Some days it shows up loud and hyped.
Other days? Nowhere to be found.
Discipline changed everything for me the moment I stopped asking, “Do I feel like it?”
Because feelings are like weather — constantly changing.
And I’m not building my life around a mood.
The real question is this: Who do we want to be?
Not when we’re inspired.
Not when the energy is high.
But on the ordinary days. The draining days. The days no one sees.

We need to stop waiting to be inspired.
Stop relying on motivation to save us.
Remove emotion from the equation and focus on consistency.
Build routines instead of depending on how you feel.
Structure creates freedom.
Consistency creates confidence.
Show up even when it’s hard.
Especially when it’s hard.
Those are the days that shape you.
Discipline is action.
Repeated. Intentional. Consistent.
Decide your non-negotiables.
Create structure that supports you, not suffocates you.
Plan your days so you don’t have to negotiate with your excuses.
Show up on the days you don’t want to.
Those days matter more than the easy ones.
You don’t rise to motivation.
You rise to the standard you’re willing to keep.
So ask yourself again —
Who are you becoming?
Then act like it.
Let me leave this with you : Discipline A corrective or formative process for restoration,
Love Shana xx
What’s a beautiful and consistent flow of motivation this piece of writing is simply perfect🙌🏾
Hi Simone, I really appreciate your kind words. Thank You xx
Hey Shana,
Listen… I’ve spent so much time waiting to feel ready, when really it’s about showing up even on the hard days. This reminded me to keep going, even when the motivation isn’t there. Thank you for this I really felt it 🤍

We all need reminding sometimes, let’s show up and be the best versions of ourselves. I believe we are all created with a super power we just need to show up to find it.
